How Do I Create A Static Wordpress Page That I Can Edit In Dreamweaver?

Posted on April 4, 2009

I am new to wordpress & php but familiar with dreamweaver, html and css. I want to keep the header, left and right columns but be able to edit the center piece. I was reading about static pages but they are still dta and not files I can edit using dreamweaver. THANKS

    Hi,
I have used wordpress template that come custom in that sort of 3 colum set. View examples here (ps some are free!)www.freewpthemes.net/
    But i would use

tage in a html page and code them using css. This way the other columns are stationary and ‘locked in’ so when you add/extend the middle information that is the only one that changes.http://webdesign.about.com/od/htmltags/q…

It sounds like you need to go to Design -> Theme Editor and edit one of the php files in there, probably the index.php one. Be careful though and make backups!
