New! Facebook Pages

Facebook has become the “place to be” with millions of users already using it and thousands more joining daily. It’s almost imperative that you include it as part of your marketing arsenal. But, in the past, it was difficult to separate your personal friends from your business contacts or clients. And, I’ll be honest, having all of my friends, family and business contacts viewing my profile together was what made me quite hesitant to use Facebook.

Great news…

Recently, Facebook has made it possible to separate your personal and business life. Now you can create individual pages for your business and keep your personal profile for friends and family only. You can now also communicate better with your business contacts (aka fans) by having the ability to send out messages to your entire fan base.

Why Google Scanned Over 7 Million Books?

If you’re looking for a real way to get Google’s attention you have to watch this video. Jonathon Gunson of Traffic Cafe explains why Google scanned over 7 million books a few years back and how this little secret can help you gain some rankings in the search engines.

Here’s an excerpt…

Think I’m exaggerating? It’s true. Over 7 million books have been scanned so far, and Google’s stored them in a massive digital database called ‘Google Book Search‘.

But why are they doing it? And even more importantly, how will this get traffic to your web site? Today’s 4 minute TV program reveals all.

Consider this: 3 years ago, war broke out as the enraged Authors Guild and the Association of American Publishers claimed that Google was violating their copyrights. But Google were doing no such thing. Furthermore they have recently settled a class action lawsuit. Instead I believe that Google has revealed a hidden Traffic Formula:

“KNOW THEY NICHE AND PROSPER.” Here’s the deal:

The simple truth is that Google is NOT stealing copyright material, but firstly is providing a valuable service of making many out-of-print and out of copywright books available again for search, and in PDF form. This of course makes Google an even more useful search engine company and so are more likely to keep growing their huge audience.

BUT FAR MORE IMPORTANTLY, here’s the REAL deal, the hidden ‘niche marketing oil gusher’ that I believe Google is creating behind the scenes:

In my opinion, it’s highly likely that Google are also COMPARING the content of all the books in each niche to record the common language, jargon and KEYWORDS used within that niche.
